On Sunday, May 10, 2020 Tyler James Cochran also known as Ty Rocky Mountain was called home by the Creator to join his sister Kelsey Ann and the rest of his loved ones in Heaven. Tyler, a twenty-three-year-old proud member of the Gros-Ventre tribe of Fort Belknap. He was born January 5, 1997 to Kendra Hughes and Lawrence Cochran Jr. Tyler graduated from Harlem High School in 2015, and then went on to attend Aaniiih Nakoda College formerly The Fort Belknap College. Unfortunately, because of his condition he was unable to complete his college education. He also worked a short time for Island Mountain, his illness prevented him from continuing his employment with Island Mountain. Tyler had the heart of a fighter. He was stricken with diabetes at the tender age of 12. He battled with this condition everyday and still managed to be a damn good brother, son, uncle, grandson, nephew, lover, and friend. Tyler could light up a room with his presence and make anybody laugh and smile. Although, he struggled with diabetes he was always there for anyone that was feeling down. He loved his family and was very protective of them. Tyler was well known and loved by many. He loved to hunt, fish, and just have a good time. He rarely had a good day but made the most out of each and every day. He had a huge heart and a sarcastic sense of humor. Tyler was preceded in death by his big sister Kelsey Ann “Hughes” Cochran, twins Amaris and Lawrence III, sister Linda, and sister Kathy Jada Mount. His grandpa Lawrence “Peanut” Cochran Sr., grandpa Howard Mount, and uncles Kenny Lamebull and JT Allen. He is survived by his daughter Alaina JoyRose, his nephews Jakobe, Layne, and Kelson Hughes, Mother Kendra (Lionel Molina) Hughes, father Lawrence (Roberta) Cochran Jr., Brothers Colby, (Arlene) Hughes, Gabe (Jessie) Cochran, Jess Kirkaldie, Codie Kirkaldie, Wyatt Hughes, Andrew Hughes, Hal Cochran, John Hughes Jr., William Hughes, Aspen Hughes, Chasity Shambo, Uncles, Will (Jena) Hughes, John (Melvina) Hughes. They all helped raise Ty along with Julie Mount whom he referred to as his second Mom. Howdy (Dez) Mount, Chris (D’Lynn) LaRaque, Russ Morsette, Dusty Kirkaldie, Grandparents Wanda and Maynard Crasco.
