Myron Wesley Knight

Myron Wesley Knight, 41, passed away November 15, 2017 in Billings, Montana. He was born in Elko, Nevada on September 30, 1976 to Eldon and Lillian (Benson) Knight.

In January 1990, at the age of thirteen,  Myron  moved to Fort Belknap, Montana  with his other family: parents Anna & Tracy “Ching” King, and his siblings, sisters Brandi & Peggi Jo King, and brother Weldon Knight.

Myron comes from very large families: the King family from Montana: the Knight family from Utah/Nevada. He also comes from a large extended family that he truly loved and cherished as well.

In 1995 Myron graduated from Harlem High School.  After graduation, he moved to Utah to attend Weber Basin Job Corp in Ogden. He then received his carpentry apprenticeship certification through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in West Jordan, Utah. He was able to land several jobs due to his certification in the field of carpentry.

While living in Utah, Myron was able to connect with his sister  Madeline Grey Mountain who lives in Salt Lake City. Their family bonding was very special to Myron. He would talk about Madeline and her service as a Councilwoman.   Great memories were created by the sister/brother love connection.

Myron was blessed with many talents. He was a good horseman, a very talented beader, with very detailed bead work. Myron was a good listener, and always made others feel important. He kept in contact with friends and family, reassuring them that he loved them all.

Myron attended many pow wows throughout the circuit with Assiniboine Cree drum group. There he met many friends who he admired and sang with.

Myron is survived by his parents Anna & Tracy “Ching” King, Fort Belknap, MT. sisters, Brandi King, Fort Belknap, MT. Peggi Jo King-Stuker, Fort Wainwright, AK. Shannon LaMere, Rocky Boy, MT. Ashley Rose Winters, Rapid City, SD. niece, Marion Knight & her son Weldon John, sister, Madeline Grey Mountain, Salt Lake City, UT, father, Eldon Knight, Ibapah, UT, brother, Gaylen K. Thompson, and many close family relatives.

He is preceded in death by his biological mother, Lillian Benson Knight, brothers, Weldon M. Knight, A.Wade Knight, Marion Colbert Knight, and sister Michelle Speak Thunder.

Traditional services will be held at Red Whip gymnasium 7:00PM  in Fort Belknap, MT on January 27th, with traditional  burial services at 11am, January 00, 2018 at Ghost Horse Coulee (Three Mile).

At Myron’s request, he wanted his services to be held at Fort Belknap, MT.
